Android

Thanks to Jobs, we have this week off. Looks like he is enjoying himself with Jony as well.

I've been running around, cleaning the house and doing various errands before we head down to Bakersfield for our annual Thanksgiving trip.

In between playing with our new TivoHD and cleaning up shows off the old Dish DVR, I've also been testing out Google's Android. Android is the "Open Handset (mobile phone) Alliance Project" announced by Google few weeks ago. This is essentially the long rumored "gPhone." Not an actual cell phone, but more of a software platform for device manufactures.

Surprisingly to me, Android is all done in Java, yay for me! It was fairly easy to download, set it up and get the obligatory HelloWorld running. Now I just gotta figure out what to build so I can get that $10M prize offered by Google ;)
