iProduct with capital "I"?

We've all seen enough iThis, iThat from Apple recently. Most of the products are now famously known for its small "i" prefix

• iPod
• iTunes
• iMac
• iPhone
• iLife
• iYouGetThePoint
  

But for some reason the printed version of San Jose Mercury News still prints headlines as "IPod suit goes..." or "IPhone available today in Germany...". However, when I go to the online version, it's printed correctly.

Maybe the root of the problem is that I even subscribe to paper newspaper, who even does that now? it's so 80s, huh?
