My first computer

Believe it or not, at 33 and after working more than a decade as a software engineer, I finally bought my first computer.  No, no kidding you!  One might wonder how a computer EE student made it through four years at Purdue.  All I can remember are countless nights in the computer lab and the closest thing I owned to a computer was my handy dandy HP-48 which by the way is great to play Phoenix on.

So here it is... cool, huh?

Whoa!! HP-48?!? Is that the super fast (4MHz), duper expandable (4.75MB) PC?? By 'PC', I mean 'Personal Calculator'... Yes, my man... you've come a long way. Can't wait to see you buy your 2nd computer....oh, I don't know... at your retirement party.

waidaminute. wasn't there an older one before the new newer and younger one took its place? Or was it because you didn't actually *buy* the older one?
