Weird because it's the first time Jean and I were apart for so long and traveled separated. I know, I know, awww, isn't it? She has done her shares of backpacking in the wilderness, so she decided to take this year off and let me go with the guys (and few girls) so I can get it out of my system.
It was fun because I got to go backpacking in Yosemite. I just love going out there where it's secluded, no technology and we get to enjoy the wilderness for a few days before rejoining civilization.
Now here's the scary part. In the 10 years that I've been backpacking and numerous trails and parks we've been to (including Yosemite a few times) we've never seen a bear. We did this time. Twice! This particular bear below was obviously used to human (which is bad) and was not alarmed by us banging on our pots and making noise trying to scare him away. The bear was about 100 feet from us and Liz was quick enough to snap this photo.
Check out photos below to see our 3-day adventure which includes a yoga session (even with a head-stand), water-fall shots and some crazy group shots by the creek.
